Hi, we are looking to get a puppy for my daughter next year. it has to be something small so not too strong for her to walk as our collie and our toller pull on the lead. im open to any suggestions, if you have expience of any breed of dog that will fit into our busy life style and once that is confident enough to play with our rough and tumble dogs.
I will happily travel to the other end of the country and i am willing to pay a fair price....id rather pay for quailty as my daughter would like to show the puppy, so has to be KC reg.
please message me with ideas/planned litters etc..
thanks in advance

Miniature pinscher. Fabulous loyal dogs. Not fragile but not strong. Ideal to bring a child into the show ring.
I may have a litter myself next year or certainly would know of friends litters.

Mini dachshund - fabulous dogs, small enough for a child to deal with but tough enough to be out on the yard and play with other dogs. I'd have a whole pack of them if I didn't work full time!!

Another one for mini dachshund. I breed them. They are very hardy for little dogs. Playful, sit on your knee, can go on very long walks or just happy playing in the garden. Will be easy to show. General happy healthy dogs. Oh and they don't need lots of grooming so cuts the cost of your bills down. Quick wash and they dry straight away haha!

Some friends of ours have just lost their mini dachshund - inherited from his mother when she went into a nursing home, and came from goodness knows where before that. I'd never known one before - we have big dogs - but really fell for her, she was a great little dog and very very adaptable, as long as she had her bed and a blanket to sleep under she was happy and at home anywhere. And the best name ever - Slinky!

Was going to suggest a jackahuahua until I saw it was KC reg you wanted. We are having a litter of them next year out of a very delicate blue and white jack Russell and to be by a blue merle chihuahua. Very excited !!

If she wants to show it then she would need a registered purebred and not a mongrel!

I would recommend a Manchester Terrier fantastic dogs - mine keep up with my collie and vizsla. They are fantastic dogs and are on the vulnerable native breed list, for more info visit www.british-manchester-terrier-club.co.uk/ they are smooth coated as well so very easy to maintain, my nephew shows my Manchester terrier with no problems as they are very good to train and they are loyal companions. A picture of a puppy in my present litter and a picture of mum - it will give you an idea of what they look like.
