Do you all leave your ramps down when at a show?? We always have, however possibly never again!!! Looks like we will end up with a rather hefty bill to sort out a problem with our horsebox ramp, caused we believe by somebody driving into or onto it when we have been at a show. I say this because after this particular show we noticed how difficult our ramp was to put up. Gradually the problem has got worse and after being inspected the only conclusion can be that the ramp has suffered a trauma!!

O thats terrible. Tbh we always leave ours down at a show. Cant believe someone would drive onto or into a ramp and then just drive off without at least leaving a note with details. Hope you get it sorted. Will your insurance cover that?

Have to say we always put ours up and lock it all. But we had someone drive into our vehicle at a show and they drove off luckily a lovely competitor knew who they were all sorted. So I'm not surprised in the slightest someone did that to your lorry.

Cost us over £300 to sort the problem, so ended up being a pretty expensive show!!!! Anyhow, lesson learned, and won't be leaving the ramp down again!!

At a show earlier in the season I was told by a friend to get back to my lorry to find some stupid woman had driven diagonally over the corner of my ramp and was stuck in situ. I had 2 ponies on board and another in the ring. So she could get home, she asked if I would drive forward! As this would have involved me dragging the ramp along the floor I refused. She was so angry as my refusal you would have thought it was my fault that her driving was so incompetent! Eventually after a bit of going backwards and forwards she managed to drive away - although in doing so she removed one of the rubber ramp supprts and part of my ramp trim. However, as when she left the showground she then managed to remove a gate and gatepost - I deceided I had a lucky escape.

I tend to put ramp back up as worry about things being stolen so once I've got pony ready I literally just chuck everything in the horse section and shut (& lock) the ramp rather than leaving anything lying around

It was unfortunate that at this particular show the parking was unorganised chaos. As I have said 'lesson learned', we won't leave it down again! Unfortunately there are too many people who have no respect whatsoever for other peoples belongings. We have always chucked everything into the living and then locked up too, it always amazes me that some people are so trusting in that they leave their tack lockers open for all to see and just help themselves (if they're that way inclined).
