Is there anywhere I can find out the final list of qualifiers for M & M WHPs to see whether my suspicions that the 143 section will be dominated by Connies is correct? Last year 15 out of 18 in the large height section were Connies but the 138 section had a really good mix of breeds - 5 section Bs,4 section Cs, 2 Fells, 3 New forests, 4 Connies. How can it be fair that Bs & Cs must not exceed 137.2cms but are expected to compete against Connies, New Forests & Ds nearly 6cms bigger? How many Bs & Cs have qualified in the 143 section this year and how many Connies?

But what breed dominated the large section last year as any fells, dales, highlands over 138 (most are!) were having to jump against connies, d's and new forests! I think alot depends on what pony you have as to wether you agree with the changes or not.

Sorry, don't understand your reply when you say "but what breed dominated the large section last year"? As I said in my posting 15 out of 18 at HOYS were Connies. Surely last year's rules at least made an attempt to redress the balance between the jumping abilities of hairies and others by allowing them to jump a lower height. How can this year's rules be better when hairies now have to jump the same height as Connies??
