Hello

My name is Frances and I am joint owner of Thordale Stud - thordale.co.uk/

I am currently recovering from spinal and now ankle surgery so am a bit bed-ridden. I write and take photos of my life when I can - myshetland.co.uk/

I usually ride an Icelandic horse called Haakon. I have had him for many years and backed him as a youngster.



What else? I have two daughters, 3 dogs and 1 cat.

Life in Shetland is perfect. I come south if necessary - mostly as a photographer - www.thordalephotography.com/

I own the two Shetland ponies in Fair Isle sweaters!



I am 50 years old. I like writing, horses, photography and I miss my riding very much at the moment.

I want to promote Shetland ponies from Shetland with my photography. They are wonderful, the real deal and lovely little characters.



We have the Northern Lights up here in winter.



Oh, and my dog likes riding too!
