I placed a response to an advert on here wanting 17/18" show saddles, as I have a saddle to sell, and now I am being bombarded by someone trying to sell me cheap Fylde saddles, whatever size, style , they have what I need, very cheap due to move abroad, can someone tell me what's going on and if this is another approach to a dodgy scam?? I have no intention of buying. But this has put me off answering any postings on here because, who knows who is genuine??

Thank you for quick response, I have placed a reply to my original response, it's hard to believe that this is going on, I have had a text off this person, claiming that she has various Fylde Saddles for sale, whatever size, style or colour, I live 2 miles from Peter Wilkinson, and spend a fortune with him, so therefor I smell a rat, so I will not respond, but anyone with the haul of Fylde saddles in her collection, regardless of circumstances, will not be letting these saddles go for as little as £150, I have a number for her, and text her saying I am not interested, but still I have texts of her, unreal

She is persistent. She has text several people in the middle of the night. Stay aware and contact via pm on here and only use paypal. She doesn't accept paypal so unless a vendor does or you can collect in person and pay cash steer clear. We have limited advertising to people with over 50 posts to try to help the situation but it's not fool proof by far.

Exactly! Its obvious its a scam when they pester you&it all sounds too good to be true. +44 7858 054619 is that her number by any chance? As that is the number that was used to try and scam someone yesterday! She needs to be caught.

Hi, yes that is the number, I will not be fooled by this person , just angry that I replied to an advert that was wanting a saddle, and now I am being bombarded with stupid texts, I have responded once. Saying I am not interested, but will not respond any more, utterly disappointed in myself

Saying I am not interested, but will not respond any more, utterly disappointed in myself It's not the person who posted the wanted add who is bombarding you, flee is a genuine seller and valued member of horse gossip. The scum who text you has been banned but is still able to come on and search through posts for numbers etc. Pretty desperate if you ask me, her drug problem must be out of control!!

Sorry to hear that Flee, cannot ask for something and it then gets hijacked by someone else, my apologies to Flee. Not meant to insult, the last text I got of this person was quite nasty, so I will not go to their level, thanks for putting me straight

Only respond to adverts by private message that way only the genuine seller can access your details

Only respond to adverts by private message that way only the genuine seller can access your details Exactly what I was going to say. If you post your email or mobile number on a thread, then that is how she gets your details. Pass them on by private message only and you reduce the chance of being scammed.....but still use PayPal (particularly for larger purchases) to make sure. She's obviously getting desperate if her "saddles" have been reduced as low as £150 - the prices were always on the cheap side, but that's really low!
