I am tentatively looking to swap my 16.3hh/17hh gelding for a similar but smaller version. He is 7/8 TB, beautifully marked and a really nice hunter/ sports horse type. I had planned to event him. (He has won inhand at county level as a youngster, but has a small scar on his leg and a small splint so will not show to a high level.)
He is 5 years old schooling nicely and popping jumps in the school. Hacks out alone and in company and is generally a nice person to have about. The only problem is that he has just grown too big for me and whilst he is not too strong to ride or anything, it is just not fun, I have to stand on something just to be able to groom him and just don't need anything that big.
I would ideally like to swap him for a smaller version of the same if anyone is in position where they want to upsize.

"COLORMORE INSPIRATION" POTENTIAL SHOWJUMPER/EVENTER OR DRESSAGE HORSE BORN MAY 23RD 2008 Very pretty extremly well bred mare with superb confirmation. KWPN X TB (British bred warmblood) Approx 16.0 hh with some of the very best bloodlines for competition Her Dam was imported from Holland and jumped BSJA and also competed dressage. Was bred by owner, shown sucessfully inhand and professionally backed last year, hacked out over the winter then turned away to mature through the summer....recently being brought back into work and showing an eagerness to do a job....will excel in dressage already shows 3 balanced paces Has started to be schooled over fences and showing a nice shape and bold jump. This mare was bred as a competition horse and needs a job. An amazing project for someone to put their stamp on only for sale as too Good for breeder Very reasonably priced for these bloodlines due to quick sale Superb to load, travels alone and in company horsebox or trailer...excellent to shoe and to clip.. I am still looking, not desperate to move on the boy as he is very special, happy to receive suggestions and more details of anything that anyone has available that they think is suitable.
I have to say that I did pay a fair bit for this horse as a youngster and then sent him away to be professionally backed. He has since been well schooled by myself, and will make a top class competition horse in the future, so am looking for a quality horse in exchange. I know the breeder and would be looking for someone who wants to keep him for a while. He is not for a novice as he is green and needs a confident rider as I think that he would worry with someone who dithered and faffed about. He would also like someone who has a large amount of time to waste scratching his ears - he never gets bored of this!
