As far as I can tell... The m&m classes are the only categories split over two days. In the past we have stayed until late to watch the champs but today we were away by 5. But I want to see the championship tomorrow. It has just cost me £120 for 3 tickets! I'm working tomorrow so I can't go for the whole day but we have ha to buy whole day tickets. I have lodged a complaint as I see it as the continuation of today's class!!! After all... What a let down not being able to see the championships for the classes you have sat and watched all day! Am I overreacting or is this a total racket!? I have also written to HOYS to tell them so!!!!

I have to agree that it does seem odd to put the lead rein and first ridden in Wednesday's programme when they have their own championship but move the small breeds to Thursday. And it's not just the spectator who suffer as, presumably the competitors have to pay an extra night's stabling etc, although I expect they're not too bothered as they've made the championship

Totally agree with you - tickets are expensive enough but to then make us buy them over 3 days is crazy !!

I agree, my friend qualified her exmoor and I really wanted to watch her...but I'm a Connie enthusiast and always book my tickets for the Wednesday. My friends bought tickets in the door yesterday and they were £50 each, so couldn't afford to go today for that price. Also gutted to miss the championship! I'm sure the competitors would prefer all the classes on one day too? The only thing I can say is that I enjoyed watching the cuddy for a change.

Unfortunately due to the huge number of M&M classes they do not fit into the timetable in one day. the team tried extremely hard to fit the M&M supreme championship into Thursday nights evening performance but it is not possible and believe me we tried. The only solution would be to cut the number of qualifiers right back and that would not be a popular move.

If you win your class and the championship is not on the same day then the stable is free for you to stay,if it is the supreme then your stable is free of charge for the Sunday to bring the horses back get them settled in again! but for the Spectators who are wanting to watch the classes yeah must be very annoying!

Totally understand the frustration this year at not being able to see all the classes from a spectator and competitor point of view, however I can see volatis reasoning as well. Trouble is there are now so many M&M SECTIONS (for which we are grateful!) I also think we need to think of the judges and to do all the sections on one day would be a lot for them. Given the size of classes in qualifiers this season some poor judges were judging from 8.00 till gone 7.00 p.m.! I think some shows next season oculd do with appointing 4 judges - maybe 2 for the large breeds and 2 for the smalls or perhaps Welsh and non Welsh. I know a couple of shows already do this and given that next season there may be a further split it must be worth considering.

I don't particularly have a problem with the split over two days... But.... I have a problem with having to buy another full day ticket just to watch the evening performance. £46 each as the cheaper tickets had gone. I wouldn't mind, but nobody sits in the correct seats anyway. They should have had a Thursday evening ticket for the people who wanted to watch the champs. I think THAT was the bad planning.

I bought 2 tickets but couldn't stay for the champ because we were just too tired to stay then drive home. Maybe it could be pulled forward to the start of the evening perf?
