Here he is the sausage! He's doing really well he's 3 months old next week. He's still having to live in my room at the minute as he's not big enough to take on his big bro in the cats room. He's ok when I can supervise. Hopefully after Christmas he can move to his new quarters as at the min I'm fed up of having him pinging all over my bed at silly hours. He's going to have his jabs in another month he's just quite small yet even though we've passed the 1kg mark the vets want him a little bigger. He's such a spoilt brat. We still haven't got over attack mode! And I tell you the Christmas tree isn't going to last till Christmas. It's rays play area! Thanks for asking after him. Sorry can't get pics to work off phone will sort tomorrow

Lovely cat and hasn't he been worth the love and effort you've put into him? Super boy

Oh yes. I'm very proud of him. He still has a lot to learn off the other cats but I never thought he would live the night out when I found him never mind him being 4 months next month. He obviously has a reason to be here with the fight in him (He doesn't have the hang of his litter tray just yet he likes to sleep rather than pee in it)

How's Ray getting on, just wondering how he is and if there are any new pics of him. Hope all is still going well for you all x Ray is a girl lol. I didn't even bother looking as we have never had a female kitten in years but my cat breeder friend confirmed he's a she. Still called ray though. So funny she seems nicer now we are calling her she!

Awwww, wow, how he/she's grown now. What an amazing job you have done loulabelle, you should be very proud of yourself and your little Ray of Sunshine. Thankyou so much for sharing pics with all of us here on H.G. We are awaiting the Calendar now for next year. A year in the life of Ray, fantastic and so very pleased for you all. Just shows how strong love is and when someone truly believes in something how wonderful the results can be. Please can we have updates from time to time, I for one will always think of Ray and how she's doing. God luck for the future x

Awww, I know, how funny is that, after all this time he is a she, but like you say such a little fighter and all credit to Lou for her absolute belief in Ray and for all her hard work and dedication. So glad it's all paid off for her. So nice to have a happy ending too.

She is certainly growing. Unfortunately she cannot go outside until she has been spayed and vaccinated next month as her father has moved into out stables and he is still intact in the male department. I'm slowly taming him and I'll get him castrated. I'm very proud of her, she's now started eating munchies after much persuasion so it's costing me a little less on expensive kitten food, she can now eat tea with her two big bros, Randy and Rupert. She's nearly as big as one of her brothers now, it's taken some time but 5 months on she's a little belter.

What good news to hear, I am really pleased and it's so lovely to hear of such a nice outcome to a story that started off in such a sad way. Very well done to you in keeping the belief in little Ray and giving her the will to live and the want to love you back in return. There is nothing nicer than having a cat choose to love you and spend time with you, just being there purring away on your lap or waiting for you when you get home.

How's Ray getting on nowadays? Have just been thinking about her, hope all is still going well x Well ray has been to the vets tonight for her first injections and pre spay check. She is all booked in for next Friday to be spaded as I call it lol. So all well and good my little one is growing up. So in 4 weeks she will be allowed outside. Which is good news, then we can tackle her dad getting castrated. I'll get some pictures up on Monday for you. Thanks for asking about her. Lou

Good news I have vivid memories of catching one of the farm cats to be neutered. I had put a dish of food inside the back porch, then having attached a pair of draw reins to the handle, stood on a chair looking out of the kitchen window so I could pull the door shut! THen donned my wellies, barbour coat, gauntlets and a face shield to get it into the cat basket! It did have a happy ending

It did have a happy ending We have had her dad (Jason) living at our house for about a year since he had his face and jaw smashed up by a car, it did set us back me having to grapple him by chucking horse rugs on him to catch him to give him his medication. He's coming round I can pick him up and stroke him now so I'll give him till Rays sorted before I take him to the vets I would think he will be ok by then. He doesn't need to be entire and roaming round, it's no life he's quite happy being the boss of the stables
