We obviously have our Evening Performance on the Saturday night which is mainly horse based...RoR Championship, Showjumping, Side Saddle and new for 2014 The Overall Horse Championship etc How would people feel if we also had one on the Sunday night and had Pony Championships, and pony based entertainment. Do you think it would be well supported? Summer holiday's have started just before our show so the kids wouldn't have to be up for school the next day!
What sort of fun classes could we add, Fancy Dress? Young Handler?
Any thoughts and ideas would be appreciated. And if you think it would be worth doing on a Sunday night :-)

Please run the Shetland Grand National again! Your staging of that in 2013 was fantastic. I couldn't be there as we were on holiday, but my pony was, with his new jockey, and we watched online. All the kids who took part this year were thrilled by the opportunity, and would love to have another go - it's so special at Aintree, the home of the Grand National!

Confirmed Judges are now on our website :-) www.aintreeequestriancentre.co.uk/events/calendar/938/And plans are underway for TWO evening performances! EXCITING OPPORTUNITY... We are looking for students who are studying event management/media to help co-ordinate our exciting Evening Performances at the National Show in July...The role would include liaising with the team at Aintree, organising the timetable, music, Championships and making the evening as exciting as possible. Or maybe you are studying photography or media and would like to help us at the event...It would look great on any CV! If you know of anyone that would be interested in helping us then please ask them to private message us or email info@aintreeequestriancentre.co.uk

Can you please advise if you will be taking entries on the day for all classes? If so what are the late fees please? I noticed that it states late fees after closing date would be £10 extra, does the £10 additional late entry cost apply to Olympia and RIHS quals? Thank you in advance...x

Copied from Facebook: Following a meeting this morning, it has been decided due to some of the classes at the National Show not being well supported (especially the ponies on Sunday) we have extended the pre entry closing date to Wednesday 16th July at 11.30pm. Any entries after this time will be subject to a £10 surcharge and will not appear in the show catalogue. Some classes will also be closed at this point as the entries have to be checked by their relevant societies. We thank everyone who has supported this show so far, but we do need a few more entries for the show to be a success. We will be posting pre entry numbers and an updated timetable the week of the show, just to help competitors with their timings. Pre entry numbers will not be available until next week, when all the entries are on our show system. To enter, please follow the link below. www.aintreeequestriancentre.co.uk/events/calendar/938/

Hi, was really looking forward to bringing my ex racer to this show but due to unconfirmed transport we were unable to enter on time. Is there any way possible that we could enter at a higher cost once we can arrange transport! I love Aintree and supporting the ror classes and was gutted when the transport company didn't get back to us on Friday!

Entries are still open til 11:30 Wednesday night Some classes will close then if the relevant societies need all advance entries. Others can be entered on the day for £10 surcharge. Don't know whether the ex racehorse classes will remain open.

Thanks Nici for sharing the post about extended entries. Sorry I havent been on here for a while, been off work and now trying to catch up on entries! :-)
Entries now close on Wednesday 16th at 11.30pm which is the deadline for some of the classes to have their entries checked and for us to print the catalogue.
Sundays classes are disappointing but thankfully Saturday keeps the show 'on the road' with massive support for our ROR and Side Saddle Classes.
Remember we have put up a £500 Supreme Pony Championship and the winner will also win a painted portrait of their winning pony from Lindsay Hill (worth another £500) So a fantastic Championship, which wont be that difficult to qualify for as entries are average.
Hope to see you at Aintree and the showground looks AMAZING #HallowedTurf :-)
