Please could anyone give me some good advise on what to feed a pony who generally seems to run out of petrol at a show.
He is well schooled, hacked out a lot so I would say fitter than the average pony and is very responsive and does everything he is asked, but just doesn't seem to have any stamina. Have tried the slow release energy feeds to no avail but not sure what to try next. He is a young whp pony not overshown and not out every week but just seems to be lacking a bit of spark.
Thanks

Is he fit and well in himself - don't want to worry you but he could have some underlying medical condition. I once had a pony who had similar symptoms and she did have an underlying condition.

Our pony is easily tired but we have found red cell helps. Also giving him a small feed between classes at a show can help if there's enough time

Hi, Our 15hh W/H was the same, got bloods done , showed up he was lacking in iron. Put him on Red Cell and transformed him. Best of luck with him.

Thanks for all the replies - baileys competition mix has done the job, was just a bit wary of giving it to a pony.

Alfa a Oil for slow release energy and topspec performance cubes. Also naf do a product called m power. It helps to remove toxins from the muscles which helps them to recover quicker and my horse looks as feels amazing on it he's like new horse. I would steer clear of Mixes, horses are not designed to eat cereals and it leads to risks such as laminitis and colic. Xx

I would be cautious of mixs and energy feed, why not use a high oil supplement like outshine and red cell or propell
