Feed is personal to you, there are so many combinations on the market brand wise it's up to you. I feed an oily non molassed soft chop, Stud and Youngstock balancer and good quality haylage. I don't feed hay as if even slightly dusty it can cause snotty coughs in young ones. Good luck

Mine have hay while in at night (which doesn't come dusty, I buy it from the reliable farmer who makes it himself) and grass while out in the daytime. The two weanlings and a 2yo A are eating soaked alfabeet with Top Spec balancer and micronised linseed. I don't feed anything containing cereal and/or molasses to minimise sugar and starch, most mixes have lots of both. Read the white labels sewn into feed bag seams for the actual ingredients of anything you think of feeding, the printing on the bag doesn't always tell the full story!

I am a convert to top spec. My three are on stud balancer, chaff and fibre beet. Out on grass during the day and hay at night.
