OK so the title is meaning which hat is your favorite.. I have always had gatehouse when i was smaller but moved onto the H2000 , when i was riding as i am quite tall anyone i felt it made me look a lot taller. Been looking through pics and i am stuck between both the Charles Owen Fiona and the Gatehouse Hickstead Hat. This is for me next year on my small ISRT, i want the hat to be very close fitting unlike some hats which look huge on your head..
Thank you!!

Yeah so hard, apparently people are not happy with the new style of gatehouse hats which is a shame as mine was so comfy and looked great on, think i will have to try both on, but wanted to see which was peoples personal favourites xx

i would just go for the one that was the best fit and most comfy. awful when you are riding and your head hurts.

I have the H2000 - I looked at the Fiona but found it very expensive and wasn't convinced about the amount of protection it would give.

I had a gatehouse hickstead. Found it really uncomfortable even though it fit properly. Changed to a Fiona which I love. Looks neat and is so comfy. Though after seeing a few threads about the level of protection from them I may be on the look out for a new hat :/

Yes the fiona is a lovely hat, But they have to be made to the Standard so they are safe to wear otherwise would be banned wouldnt they?

I love my Fiona. It's the first show hat I've owned that doesn't make my head sweat. It's lovely and cool to wear. I agree that you should go with whatever fits and suits you best though. The deep crown hats look awful on my small head - all hat and no head lol!

The Fiona meets the same standard as the gatehouse hickstead, any of the Harry hall hats and the champion show hats. It is legal for all jobs but you get additional protection from helmets offering pas015 such as the h2000 and the wellington classic.

I had a gatehouse for years but when I went to replace it, tried on a new one and the fit was totally different. I got a fiona in the end.
