Approx 15.3hh 5 yr old bay gelding who has the potential to do just about any job.
Purchased approx 18 months ago unbroken as a project and due to his super temperament hes just hung around. Due to owners lack of time hes not had a great deal of consistent work but he goes in the school and walks, trots and canters and has popped over a small jump willingly. He hacks out alone or in company and realy is great, never naps just gets on with his job and gives a lead to nervous or spooky horses. He doesnt need riding every day either, can be left a few weeks and is just the same.
He is 110% in and out of the stable and is a very affectionate horse and has super manners. He goes in the field and never causes trouble and gets on with anything else in there. Hes good to catch, shoe not sure about clipping as his coat is so fine and not had sufficient work to warrant it. He loads fine but occasionally will stand for a short time with the brake on.
He has masses of potential as a hack, hunter, eventer, dressage or for local level showing and is only offered as current owner is too big and has too little time.
Ok now for the bad bits, he doesnt like having his main pulled but it is doable. He jogs a little when 1st mounted but has never bucked, run off or done anything dangerous, current rider just sits quiet and never has a prob. He was kicked in the field some time ago which has left him with a small swelling on the inside of his hock on his near hind. He has recently prior to advertising had it X rayed and there is no damage and he is 100% sound both on the lunge and under flexion tests (report available if required) Anybody interested must also bear in mind he is a thoroughbred so slight and although never naughty and has good brakes he is forward going so please no novices. The horse is in West Yorkshire and there is indoor and outdoor trial facilities. Transport would also be available and his tack could be available obviously by separate negotiation. The horse stands the owner at far more but is been very realistic and wants to sell and i think its a give away and a real opportunity.
As stated previously the owner is short of time and has been very honest in his description so genuine enquirers only please.
A guide price of £500 but no sensible offer would be refused. Hes shod, looking well and ready to go.
