Absolutely devastated to have to say that on Sunday night we had to say goodbye to our beloved Duntarvie Cat Nap.
Mac was the best pony I've ever owned, he taught me everything and he owed us nothing. He had so much character and he's already missed more than I can say at home. He knew if you had polos on you from 100 metres and wouldn't leave you til he'd had one, only pony I've ever met that could eat a whole pack in one mouthful! He lived to go to shows and would take the ramp in one stride to get on the lorry, he was an absolute pleasure to show, easiest pony in the ring I've ever known and I was so fortunate to be the last to show him and fly down the ring on his amazing gallop. He could be as awkward as sin and always thought he knew best, he hated having his ears trimmed(even with scissors!) and God help you if you tried to get a twitch on him! He was incredibly cheeky and always up to something with that butter wouldn't melt look! He would stand in the skipping out basket, knock the wheelbarrow over, he always threw his feed bowl around after he'd finished or try to put it on my head, I even have a bite mark on my dubarry's from where he bit them whilst I was tying his haynet up. He was a devil for escaping from his stable given half a chance and would tow you to and from the field. He was infuriating and a pain in the arse but I wouldn't have had him any other way. He was spoilt rotten and a part of the family. He gave me everything and I couldn't have asked anything more of him, We have so many incredible memories that will be cherished forever, he has definitely left his hoof prints on my heart and I can say for sure that he will never be forgotten.
He did incredibly well in the show ring, 4th at RIHS and numerous wins&championships at BSPS etc. and he even won me my first sash which 2 years on still takes pride of place in the lorry.
RIP Maccy, you were a total legend, I know you'll be watching over us, enjoy yourself and don't cause too much trouble, I love you!
