Thought i would share these 2 pictures i bought yesterday! We went to craven country ride for the christmas trail, jumped all the big jumps (stopped at the jump the photographer was on which was tiny compared to the ones he had jumped previous on the course! think he was just running out of oomf by then it was near the end of the 5.5 mile ride) It was his first time doing proper xc, hes just popped a few fences here and there before But all in all really pleased, tagged on with 2 lovely ladies who were very friendly He has a dangly leg in this but i had to buy it as it is our first time doing something like this, excuse his grackle, it slipped on the way round when he got abit fresh and started trying to grab at the bit, i must have not put it on tight enough being that excited! and here are some before we set off getting in abit of a tizzy when he saw the ones in front go off up the field, but its ok because his grandma had mintys and we are off! he was very wary of what was up that hill! Then coming back with his new friends! Seriously recommend it, great for getting some winter beans out of them and AMAZING views from the top of some of the hills, you could see all yorkshires beauty, 360degrees!

We usually go to Somerford (which is where we were on sunday!) but would like to try Craven...How many jumps are there? Did you think its value for money? Anybody fancy going at weekend?

Unfortunately ponymum it is closed for the winter. They put on 2 christmas trail rides - the last being sunday just gone. It is a great place best part its only 20mins from me! I certainly think it is great value for money. They have a website and are also on facebook - craven country ride. I think its about 5 1/2miles and has about 25 jumps of various heights which David moves about to maintain excellent ground and 2 water complex. I would say look at my pics on facebook but they are same jumps as sundance! (we went the sunday before) It will be opening again at Easter if you fancy going then let me know and if my jockey is not working we would be happy to meet you there and show you around. Extremely friendly and helpful owner.
We are going over to try Kelsall Hill while Craven is shut
