When I saw your heading I assumed if referred to a pure breed with a closed stud book in which my answer would be yes, if you have a good example of it that's still breeding. I have a 16yo broodmare here whose top sire was I think 27yo when he sired her. I'm thrilled to have her and I'm trying to breed all I can get from her while I can. But RPs are a different kettle of fish in having an open stud book so that outside blood can be introduced at any time so there are no arguments to make on keeping different lines and a variable gene pool going.
Not being a RP person I can't comment on the rarity or otherwise of the big names in your mare's pedigree, or the market value of any foals I'm afraid.

why are you selling her? That does not mean that you should not sell her but what made you decide to sell her? If that reason has not changed then sell her. If you have your own stallion then you could offer a free service in order to appeal to more people, if not then you are just making the whole procedure more expensive for you, which seems rather pointless.
I hope that is of help

She has the very best of RP bloodlines and if she were mine then I would want to keep that line going. However if you are selling her due to a change in circumstances etc and you can for whatever reason no longer keep her then im sure there are plenty of people who would want those lines, I know I would!!!

im really grudging selling her, but lack of grazing forces sale unless things change i will keep her. aand sorry for the bad spelling! my phone is half cracked on the screen. im looking for a great home for her as id like them to carry on this breeding

I'm with brindlerainbow on this one. Fantastic purple blood which you don't find very often now. That said, I also had RP mare with exceptional lines who I gave away due to change in personal circumstances.

Bwlch valentino was a prolific stud and had countless progeny. I don't think that the bloodline is as rare as you presume. It sounds as though you're not really ready to sell your mare. I'd have a good long think before you do

if you are selling due to lack of grazing then breeding from her is only going to compound the problem. Her bloodlines are not that rare, most RPs carry BV bloodlines. The market for riding ponies has simply gone away either for ridden ponies or even more so for youngstock.

I think if you are selling any mare these days, then i think they are best left empty. Not everyone wants a plus one and, The purchaser can choose their own stallion for her, or break her to ride if she is suitable to.
I have many a times been put off buying a mare that ticks all the boxes, when i see she has been covered by a stallion i dislike.
