I am considering using my Riding Pony colt on a mare or 2 next season, but I am unsure who I would register the offspring with and if the PIO has an impact on who I licesnse him with.
The colt has a WPCS passport and overstamped PBA. However he only has about 15% welsh and arab, I want to put him on warmblood mares. One is a KWPN, the other is a British Warmblood with a AES passport. I was planning to licesne him through the WPCS- will this be ok for other PIOs?

personally I would use either the AHS as you may find that your warm blood mares carry some arab blood or NPS. Whatever you do you will need to licence him. The NPS has a sports pony section. Who is he passported with?

If he only has 15% Welsh blood then his stock from non-Welsh mares will not be eligible to be reg. with WPCS, so maybe another society would be a good idea?

Yes Sarah exactly! But not sure who with? with the mares I am planning to use, the offspring will not have suficient %age of either welsh or arab blood to go into the PB sections of the WPCS/AHS.
I've had a quick look and I could enter him into the BRPSB- and enter his offspring...but they look like they only cater for up to 15hh and 15.2hh in the larger height studbook- my colt is 14.2hh and mares a good 15.2hh and 16hh (they are from larger breeding stock as well), but don't suppose that would really matter?

The Arab Horse Society has an appendage on which you can register stock with less than 12.5%, although you will not be able to show them the blood will be able to be carried forward to future generations. You are still better licencing him with the BRPSB, in the unlikely hood that any stock goes over 15.2 you can always get them over-stamped by SHGB.
