Views on Which Horsebox I Should Have Custom Built.

Hi everyone.

I've been looking at Alexanders and wondered whether anyone owns one of these FAB boxes. I am going to get one custom built in the Summer. Having been to look at them, they seem alot more solid than any of the others such as regent etc.

If anyone has any experience of them your thoughts would be much appreciated, as they are not cheap new and I want to ensure that I am getting the best box possible.

My regent is absolutely fab! And a bargain compared with Alexander's

Check the weight payload that you intend to carry.
A friend of mine had an Alexanders built for her to carry a 16hh dressage horse, when bought and weighed discovered that she would only be able to carry 800kg, which made her overweight with horse, herself and tack...never mind the thought of any horse companions, passengers, dog, water and all the gubbins that we carry with us.

I have just got a new Regent Box and have to agree with lalalaa, fab in every respect, from design to solidity and safety, plus the fact that Kent who owns Regent, will always try to oblige a customers requests and customisations wherever feasible. Custom built with Regent does literally mean that, but he will not ever compromise on safety for either horses or people. You honestly wouldn't be disappointed if you went to Regent. They have endless colours designs and so many ideas to make their boxes super user friendly. All at a fraction of the cost of some others and you can go to see your box being made in the factory at any point in the process, as all done in their own factory with their own staff. Good luck and choose wisely as it's a lot of money to spend and regret if you don't like it afterwards, most of all take your time and don't rush into anything, I made the very same mistake in my excitement and made a very costly error, so hope this helps you not to do a similar thing. I'd have another Regent box tomorrow.
