I am thinking of buying my daughter her first 'long' boots for her upcoming 14th birthday. Can anyone recommend a particular make, please, which will look classy but which will also wear well and not cost the earth. Many thanks.

Brogini, I have got the brand new model of Brogini which are the 1001 Lazio Italian Performance boots. They are brilliant, not too expensive and very stylish. They come in different calf and length sizes and break in within one day. However as they were a new model for 2013 with different leather to all other Brogini boots, Im not sure how long they will last but I will see.

She really has to try them on. Have had bad experiences with the fit of long boots with my eldest daughter ( skinny legs, big feet ). Out of all styles and price ranges their was only Brogini 00 that fit her. Thank goodness they werent that expensive

My daughter had her first long boots at 14, Brogini are great, she has long slim legs so they were the only make I could get "off the peg" as they do so many width and length fittings, she found them very comfortable
