So now to do HOYS hunter qualifiers you have to be a member of BSHA all over a bloody hat! Aswell as shbgb for RIHS, double membership over a vanity issue

Maybe members shouldn't have complained so much about a chin strap!!!!

I don't understand why those people who whinged about having to wear a chin strap didn't just get on with it! A lot of showgrounds insist on it anyway now. As usual a minority of members have cocked it up for everyone! It's a riding hat for gods sake! Dressage riders had to do it, remember?

The results sent to the office by the show secretaries are used to allocate the qualifying places, and therefore the competitor must have bee disqualified before the results were sent in. And no competitor contacted the office to complain they had been disqualified. I would also correct you on your first statement. The HOYS office was inundated with complaints over this ruling and the way it had been dealt with by the society. Not a single person contacted the office in support of the rule.

They where disqualified at point of prize giving so no result recored yet as the rossettes would not of been handed out People will always write to complain, The fact the no one wrote to HOYS in favour of the rule isnt suprising as why would you when its a SHBGB issue so they wrote to SHBGB in support. Folk didnt get what they wanted from SHBGB so they went to HOYS instead to get what they wanted!

In all SHB gb ridden classes horse must be shod all around. BSHA don't have that rule.

Wonder why they HAVE to be shod. Horses weren't born with shoes on and having two ponies barefoot now and one shod i much prefer them without shoes as i think they move better. Surely it should be up to the person whether they want shoes on or not?

I would agree, I had a working hunter who jumped fine without shoes. We also had a cob without shoes and judges would ask why she didn't have shoes on. My rising 5 maxi cob who has great feet will be getting shod because it seems to be frowned upon to not have shoes on.
In SHBgb classes the rule to be shod all around came in, in 2013.
