Hi I have a fell pony and am wanting to compete him in working hunter this year. I ride him in a happy mouth 3 ring gag , is this bit legal for working hunter as on some posts it says any bit is okay but on some it says only plain snaffles are worn? Just thought I'd make sure! Thanks in advance!!

Any suitable bit for a working hunter except running gags or a bitless bridle Hope this helps. you are also allowed martingales,flash nosebands,grackle nosebands or a drop noseband. In a ridden class your 3 ring would not be allowed.

i think nps they have to be in a snaffle for all class including workers but could be wrong

Snaffles for novice workers nps but open and intermediate your 3 ring will be fine.

M&M WHP run under BSPS & PUK rules - any suitable bit except running gag or bitless bridles for ALL classes
M&M WHP run under NPS rules as above EXCEPT for Novice when it is snaffles only
