Hi,
So I have been offered the opportunity to work in Australia if it wasn't so expensive to take your horse over there I would be gone straight away. but £15,000 is far to much to pay. I have had such a bad start to the year I wanted to be out for the first RI quals but never happened and we are still not ready to come out now, The offer is to go in January but I really want a full season on my horse as last year due to an accident I was out for the whole year. So I have not had a season on him yet. I was really stuck on whether to sell my horse or not or to go on full show loan and have my mum keep an eye and keep everything going good, but one of close friends has offered to take him on show loan and he would be here when I came back. It is a great opportunity and everyone I talk to says if I don't go I will regret it, but after having my accident I have wanted a full season in the show ring as I have been working so hard for this, after this I will be happy and done all the shows I want to get him to, But then I think if I wait till 2016 the offer may be gone. I suppose if it is meant to be it is meant to be. Such a hard decision.

Personally if it was me and I had my younger years back I would jump at the chance!

This is what everyone I have spoke to said, they had the chance many of years ago but turned it down and now regret it.

Do it. I was a work rider in America. It was fantastic. The girl who came out with me is still there 17 years on. She never came home. I came home to get my green card but couldn't. It's an experience I would tell anyone to do who had the chance.

Definitely go for it while you are young. Let your horse go on show lease and he will be here when you come back!

But that will all come later on. Grab life with both hands the offer might not come along again. Whatever you decide don't look back. Good luck.

Definitely, definately go for it. As you've said your horse will be here when you get back, and you'll have most of this season if you work hard to get going this year. I never had the chance until I was too old ( well maybe not too old but too many commitments!) and I wish I had done something similar! Good luck!
