I have just sold a Fylde saddle for £550. I need to post it, and obviously want it insured. The cheapest I can find is £31 with parcelforce. Can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative please ?

I use my Hermes, and drop it off at my local corner shop, fantastic service & I last paid £6.80ish for a large cheap saddle so was uninsured, but I'm pretty sure it only costs a few quid more to send it insured. The standard service is signed for delivery.

Definitely Hermes. You can get an estimate on their website and also find where your nearest drop off shop is. They're everywhere we live in the middle of nowhere and have one at the local one stop

Try parcel2go, I think I sent the last saddle via them, they do a signed for delivery and various courier options and compensation. They have a live chat talk so you can speak with someone as the website is quite confusing. Worth a try, I think the last saddle I sent was insured for about £450.00 And they collect from your house/collection address.

I use Parcel Monkey (delivered by City link) - you can choose your own level of insurance & get charged accordingly.

If you ask the buyer to sort their own, its easier, then its up to them about insurance and so on. have used my hermes, which was ok.

www.interparcel.co.uk is worth a look too. Their courier services via UPS are good, the tracking system works better than Hermes in my experience, you can also pay an extra 20p + VAT to get a text when the package has been delivered and signed for which I find reassuring.

The careful choice for a dependable logistics and courier company is always recommended especially if you are a business and need to send the products in large quantity. I also have hired the Delivery services Dallas for the online business and we are quite happy with their services.
