I'm at my wits end with my pony at the minute, he is being very stubborn not wanting to trot or do much really-I don't know much about calmers but I wondered if they make horses concentrate more and stop messing around? Thanks

Mine are on a balancer with calmer in it called lexvet cool. They are concentrating exceptionally well and the spooky one has virtually stopped spooking, the hot head cob is more settled and the normal fell lol is just the same.

my gut feeling is that your pony is tryimg to tell you something ie back , teeth , saddle , possibly footy from spring grass , now dont get me wrong im all for calmers but not sure this is what you need

I would normally say that but he's just has his saddle checked and it's fine, and just had his back and teeth checked which is all good, he's just very cheeky!

My experience, if this is only "lately" behaviour, is that it could be that his feet hurt.
