Hi Guys. Am I right in thinking that for the novices the judge tells you what they want you to do as your individual show? Or do I make up my own - If so, does the judge need to see walk trot and canter on both reins to include a fig of 8? I've got what I am planning to do in my head if you have to make up your own and have watched classes etc. Thanks

It varies from judge to judge, if they don't specify, just do what you want to do. Keep it simple and not too long, walk/trot/canter on each rein including fig of eight, to suit your horse.

Just to add to m&m, don't get too set in your mind exactly what you intend to do - it may not work on the day according to things like where the judge puts the line up, sloping ground etc, so you need to be not completely thrown if you have to adjust it.
