Wow - lucky her (and you!) looks like she's landed on her feet! Is she registered so you can find out where she came from and how she ended up there?

Yes she is registered.. her dad is oisin (who is stunning)! And her mum is Rosscon Duchess. I have done a bit of digging and she was bought as a yearling from the Irish sale and then the same guy had her for 3 years and then took her to beeston along with 7 others and no reserves it seemed. She was the least wild of the 8.. so I went for her! I heard that the owner usually deals with cattle and lives in Shropshire but didbnt see or speak to him myself.

Thanks everyone, I feel like it was fate! She's so calm now and has a sparkle back in her eye. Yes I agree that there were some terrible states there in a much worse state than her and I felt so bad for them, I had to take a pony that i personally have a use for.. and she was the one! Will post a pic in a month or so when she's looking all plump and hopefully me on board! :-)

Just seen this thread and quickly snapped my Oisin pony to show you the similarity. He is out of Mia Justice and was bred by Jimmy O'Donoghue at the Lickeen stud in County Clare. He is a lovely natured pony and very laid back taking everything in his stride. I am sure your mare will repay you for giving her the home she deserves.

Just living out in the big fields with lots of grass and giving her time to forget the drama of the sales. Will upload a pic in a bit, she's slowly putting weight on :-) I can't remember who I spoke to now, I was all of a dither and watching for my safety in those aisles! But I probably did speak to you yes x

She is lovely and lucky, very lucky that you took your detour! Some of the horses you just cannot understand why they have ended up at auctions.
