Yesterday I had a lift back in my friends new equitrek trailer unsure of the make back loader with herringbone traveling and living! Well my 14.3 loaded fine but it was very tight on space but when I got him off the sweat was literally pouring from him and he was panting like mad! He had a cooler fleece on and all windows open but just so extremely hot! Apprently was very quiet they watched on camera! Any 1 else had problem with horses over heating in equitreks?

Never had a problem, though I always travelled with all windows open and vents open. Don't know where you are but it was quite warm yesterday? Never used the multi treka (herringbone one) but would assume it's got the same amount of windows as a wagon?

Best without the rug, he will stay cooler without it.

Agree totally. No rug.Everytime we have used rugs to travel the ponies have sweated even in the winter.Trailers have a limited amount of flowing cool air and it was very hot yesterday to be in a metal box( which is really what trailers are!!)
