I am offering my gorgeous 3 years old neutered boy to a good home. I purchased him as a full Dane but I believe he could be x mastiff as he is quite small (for a Dane anyway!) I have owned him since he was 8m old where he has been badly neglected. Currently living out and very cheap to keep (eats Wagg) Good with people and children, unfortunately when walked with my springer bit*h he sometimes shows signs of dominance (whines and scratches at Halti if another male dog appears or if one growls/barks at him) so to eliminate I walk him separately and with a young toddler, 4 horses and another dog I simply do not have the time I am therefore offering him to a knowledgeable good home where he can receive the exercise and attention he thrives If you feel you can offer my boy the home he deserves please PM me. Based in chesterfield

Somebody i once knew bred harlequin great danes, and he looks like a pure great dane - at least he looks like the ones i knew, and some of theirs didn't grown very tall, also if he had been neglected and didn't get the right nutrients then maybe this is why he isn't very tall?
He is gorgeous and i hope he finds the perfect home x

thanks fayandash
I actually thought exactly the same, unfortunately he was skin and bones, barely stood taller than my friends lab initially. He is a very handsome boy, I have more photos for anyone interested. He is wormed and vacc'd too.

Does he have a name? looks very similar to ones i knew. If i had a big garden i would have had him, they are fantastic with children and very placid, my daughter and her friend used to fall asleep on them and even if you called the dog to come to you they would never move, they just raised an ear to let you know they were listening, they really are an amazing breed.

his name is stomp..he loves nothing more than relaxing - when he lived in you could never get him off the sofa and he wouldn't think twice about sitting all over you. He is only 3 and a half. I got him from somebody that bred Danes and Neopolitan mastiffs, had 24 in a council house/garden. All giant breeds. I am considering getting a cart for him, the extra weight to pull will do him good, my friend is going to ride in it! If you want to discuss further better PM, don't want to upset the mods. thanks again for the lovely comments x

I wish we had the room for him, but we have two already both boys, I think that there would be trouble if I introduced a third boy, good luck with finding him a good home. It may be a idea to get intouch with these people they may have someone looking for one. www.greatdanerescue.co.uk/

hi hes approximately 32 inches to the withers? and he has run round the yard with ponies but i dont think hes seen geese. he did live in for a year so he has lived inside but hes lived out for the past two years. he gets on with my dog but i wouldnt like to say how he would take to another dog...he gets on better with big dogs rather than small and doesnt react well to dogs that show any aggression towards him...he has two small scars on his back end from where he was previosuly attacted which is why he is slightly defensive

pinkteam - these dogs really are worth the drive, especially if you are wanting a dog to scare off potential theives but also want them child friendly, they are so gentle with those they know (or at least all the ones i knew were) but were really quick to realise those that were a threat! If i lived on a farm or had a garden big enough i would have him in a shot, i cannot praise these dogs enough, he really deserves a fantastic home, they don't need too much exercise, even though they are big dogs they soon get tired, oh how i wish i could give him a home progenic if i win the lotto tomorrow and buy a big house that needs protecting - with children in mind, i will be straight on here offering him a home, i can't believe nobody has snapped him up, they are very gentle animals xx

My OH has a Dane x Mastiff that comes in the kennels, and she's HUGE. Bigger than a Dane, and the Mastiff can be seen in her. Looking at this chap I'd say he is Dane. He's gorgous, and much as I adore danes, sadly I don't think my two JRT's would be happy sharing their bed with one.
