I have a Robinsons small pony trap (http://www.robinsonsequestrian.com/pony-07-trap-black-box-3.html) which is great, I can quickly hitch up and take it out on the heath; which is brill. I've been driving for about a year so still a beginner in this area. Would really like to get my boy out to some driving shows however I don't know if my trap is suitable?
Thanks x

I had our 12hander broken to drive and wanted to have a go at showing. They are seriously picky about turnout and correct tack, the basket with the spare trace, knife etc and often have a carriage just for showing and harness. I would try the exercise classes, I couldn't be bothered with the faff.

My local BDS show also put on classes for cones and dressage, as well as novice whip and exercise carriages so there should be classes out there for you. You could also do driven Trec.

Where are you? Thompson House Equestrian run driving shows that you can use your robbies trap. They are based in Lancashire, Standish junc 27 M6. Look them up on facebook x
