Looking to buy our little section a set of front boots, just for hacking on the roads. Our lanes are never swept and pot holes NEVER repaired etc etc, and he does have quite soft feet and really feels the stones. Farrier suggested boots rather than shoes. Any one got any preference/ experience please. I quite like the shape of the cavallo simple boot because he has round feet. Thank you .

I found this site quite useful when looking: www.thesaddleryshop.co.uk/MeasureHoofBoots.aspxYou can even hire hoof boots from these people. I'd settled on Old Macs G2 for my Section A (who I dont think had seen a hard surface for at least a couple of years) but in the end didnt need hoof boots

Thank you Harrypatch, I'll take a look. Ours is the same, perfect on the paddock, in the school, but you can almost see him looking at the stones on the lanes and avoiding them, just think if I have boots for him it will make it a more pleasant ride for everyone and obviously for him.
