Having spent the last 2 years as a rider with Davenport Stables, Sara Eriksson is now looking to expand her business of training horses for the show jumping ring, to offering both flat work and jumping lessons to riders & their horses of all levels.
Sara was born in Sweden and started to learn to ride at the age of 5 and from there she started to compete her own and other peoples ponies across the disciplines. She has been hooked ever since and spent many years in Sweden competing as well as training countless different horses and riders in flat work and jumping.
In her most recent job she had sole responsibility for 7 horses that she competed nationally at affiliated British Showjumping. She has also worked as a rider / groom for riders on 3 different national teams (Sweden, UK and Norway), gaining invaluable experience at FEI 5* shows.
Sara has 2 young horses of her own that she is bringing on carefully - one has already jumped internationally in age classes and the other is jumping at BS Novice and both are working to Elementary level on the flat.
Whilst Sara specialises in jumping, her philosophy is that good jumping always starts with good basic flat work. So, if you want to improve your flat work, are a novice and want to start jumping, or you are more established but want to take the next step up, Sara has many ideas and tips to help you and your horse progress. She will also help you with rider and horse fitness. Lessons are varied with the focus on enjoyment & gradual improvement – there are no quick fixes or short cuts to sustained improvement.
Sara will also take horses in for schooling from youngsters starting their education to older horses who need correction.
Individual lessons: 45 – 60 minutes - £30
Group lessons: timings and price dependent on numbers and venue – please ask.
Schooling livery: please call to discuss options in more detail.
Sara is based in Allostock, Cheshire and will travel to your yard free within 15 mile radius.
