Advice required for a young handler class at Equifest. We are competing in inhand classes at the show (will be wearing correct dress trousers, jacket, beagler etc) but we are also doing young handler class as handler is 16. Will she wear her inhand show gear (wearing a harnessed hat) or riding gear? PLEASE HELP

I would say her in hand gear with a strapped hat. At most shows it's run as an in hand class with regards to format sometimes with a task thrown in such as a halt in their trot up 'show' to show control or handling of a leg/hoof, the older age group are more likely to play it straight with no gimmicks though

May I add to harrypatch's helpful response, go easy with (be very subtle or don't use) the scrunchy (and the makeup!) - a 'buttonhole' is incorrect in hand. Gloves finish the turnout. Boots she can comfortably run in without slipping. Smart, workmanlike and being 'on the ball' is key. Enjoy!

Thanks guys I was delighted with our result this week. 2nd in a huge class of 20! A little disappointed that the chap that won had a very obvious lip piercing in & the judge nor stewards noticed. A rule bog or small should not of been broken. Didn't want to complain to look like a sore loser.
