Just after some advice.
Mare went to stud, and we believe took but slipped before 14days.
Vet said she is fit and healthy and swabs came back clear. It has been on my mind as to why she didnt take.
She lets the stallion on her constantly and can be seen clearly in season. She is regular in her cycle but just didnt seem to take.
Any advice?

Was this the first time this season she has been covered? As she has a clean bill of health, and presumably the stallion does too, I wouldn't worry too much the first cycle, but if she didn't take the second time would be maybe looking to investigate further.
I'm assuming she was covered and the stallion did do the business fully, so to speak? Do you know which days in her season she was covered, or did she run with the stallion? When you say 'lets the stallion on her constantly', what exactly do you mean? If a stallion is covering his mares very frequently (many times a day), semen quality can reduce.
If she did in fact take but slipped the foal, it is often nature's way of dealing with something not quite right, but no reason why she shouldn't take again fine the second time.
Not really much help, just more questions! Neither of my mares took first time this year either, scans next week for round two.

It was actually last season, but she was a maiden. We tried a few times, had her scanned several times too and in the end nothing came out of it.
They were turned out together and also i think tried in hand. Its hard to remember exactly now as it has been a year.
She was very submissive to the stallion. Always let him on her, and was constantly wet and got a little bit sore in the end (sorry to be so vulgar). Do you think this could have had something to do with why she didnt take.
What is the ideal days to cover them in here cycle? I am toying with the idea of sending her away again, although id rather not if it will be fruitless
Thanks again

Sometimes it can be just that the pairing is wrong and no matter how many times you try the mare will not take. My sister's mare went to a pony stallion 2 years running, the second year because she didn't take the first year and either didn't take or didn't hold onto the foal. The vet could find nothing wrong and said sometimes it's just that the two aren't compatible.
The third year she went to a different stallion, caught first time and produced a healthy colt foal the following spring. She'd already had 2 healthy foals in her younger days though so wasn't a maiden.

We struggled getting our mare in foal, she showed signs of actually getting in foal, but then absorbed.
In the end, we had the vet flush her out 24hrs before she was covered, and then 24hrs later......and we got in her foal !!!
Her internal conformation of her womb was causing the issue and held fluid that was making her lose the foal, and every swab that was taken was coming back clear!
Apparently this is the same method that they use on a lot of racehorses!
Good luck and hope you get a foal :-)
