On behalf of a friend...
With regret we need to find Maggie a new home to love and cherish her as much as we do. I would love to keep her but it is a shame for her not to do what she loves and have a new best friend. Maggie is a lovely child’s pony that has done many pony club events. She has done cross country, show jumping working hunter, showing and has hunted with her previous owner. Maggie is safe with every child, is snaffle mouthed and has no vices; happily hacks out on her own and with company. She is good to load and with the farrier.
We have owned Maggie for 5 years and she has been a pleasure to own, she has taken my daughter from being a nervous rider to a confident rider and as the pony club instructor said ‘she is a genuine pony’. She is sold with a full wardrobe of rugs, saddle and bridle.
Maggie is 12.1hh, light dapple grey and 13 years old. She has spent the past couple of years as a companion so is currently unfit, but is being brought back into work by a 10 year old jockey.

Where are you please, and would she be quiet enough for teaching a 6 year old to start riding off the lead rein with and then progress?

Hi the pony is based near Warrington. She came to her current owners as a confidence giver for their then 7yo daughter who had lost all her confidence after a couple of bad experiences. Within a week she'd gone from insisting on being led to cantering alone on the beach. The only thing I'd say for a 6yo is that she's a big pony fir her height, and a small 6yo might be overhorsed. The jockey in the pictures above is 10yo and about 5ft.
