I have mixed feelings on this bit. My cob in many respects went well/better in it but I felt it was rather thin in his big fleshy mouth. I felt if he'd wanted to he could have tanked off with me. He is normally schooled in a loose ring snaffle with a lozenge. Just wondered what other people's experience of this bit are.

I have used this bit on a couple of different ponies and found that they have gone very well in it. I found that the slimmer mouthpiece was really good on one that had a large tongue, low palate and very fleshy lips, as he near enough stopped opening his mouth and then taking hold. I am currently using one to long rein my horse as he comes back into work after a very long break and he loves it and really seems to accept and respect it, with just the lightest of touches on the long reins. All in all I find it a useful bit to have, but like anything else it may not suit all of them.

My welsh isnt keen on them. He goes much better in the trans angled.
isnt it that with the verbindend you are ment to use a 1/4 inch bigger because of the angle of it?

Our young Irish mare was in one of these bits but we have since had to change as she sucks her tongue back which has cause small bruising on each side of her tongue

My daughter rides both her ponies in the NS Transangled lozenge bits and they both go fab. Funnily enough one of mine is in a baucher one of these and it's a thumbs up. I just bought a loose ring one and tried it on the other two... With a thumbs up too!
