We have an amazing 15 hh jumping pony available for loan to a very special home. Dillon is 14 yrs old. He was brought 7 years ago to build his 12 yr old riders confidence and teach her to jump. He was meant to stay for a year, 7 years later we have finally admitted his rider is too big and needs to move onto horses. He jumps every kind of filler known to man and never stops. He does a respectable dressage test and has completed indoor Eventer trials successfully. He prefers to jump on a surface but does jump on grass ( he hates slipping). He doesn't want to event. He has jumped on school show jumping teams and jumps 1.20 at home. He pops round 1m classes happily. He is good to box, shoe and clip and handle. He is very easy to take out to shows and just does his job well every time. He hacks alone and in company. He occasionally weaves and doesn't like his mane being pulled( he thinks it's rude to pull hair when you could use a solo comb!!)
He is very dearly loved, having taken his rider from riding school lessons to regular competition where he is always in the ribbons. We would like him to stay local which is North Hertfordshire but the home is the most important thing. He doesn't really like to live out and does like a friend to turn out with. He is an excellent doer and hasn't had a single lameness in 7 years. He is a very special boy who will always remain in our family but it's time he taught another young rider the ropes and give them as much fun as he has given his current rider. To keep your first competition pony until you're nearly twenty tells you a lot about the pony!!
Please pm me for further details and pictures
