Hi guys I'm desperately looking for some help. I have a new horse and have decided to try showing as I've been told she could do quite well. She's a riding horse, I have my tack sorted for her it's more me I'm stuck on. For the ridden side I have a tweed jacket, cream shirt and red tie as her browband is red and blue with my jods can I wear beige or do they have to be cream or canary? I'm also going to give in hand a try, I have beige trousers as she had dark legs. Is it more correct to wear a jacket or a waistcoat? If a waistcoat should I go with tweed, navy or cream? Also what would be correct headwear? Sorry for all the questions I would just like to make sure we both look as good as possible in the ring Many thanks in advance for your help

I would suggest a jacket rather than a waistcoat, and your riding hat for a riding horse class :-)

When I do going showing, I tend to wear waistcoat if it's warm and tweed if hot and barbour if it's chucking it down. Headwear a beagler would look really smart.m I show welsh and i like to wear a flat cap x

Sounds right i would wear white shirt and cream breeches for a riding horse, if correct size and fits the class you could also try isrt i used to wear canary jods in that class, if you are under 25 that is always nice to be able to do an extra class we did hack and isrt with mine and also when away at shows makes it more worthwhile, for inhand you see most people in tweed jackets for plaited classes, you mainly see waistcots with the welsh A C & D's my opinion anyway i like to see plaited handlers in a jacket unless it is really unbearable then yeah wear a waistcoat, good luck x
