We have a stunning rose bay mare available for sale.
She is 5 years old Welsh D x TB. Excellent shoulder and a real eye catcher!
Her sire was a successful Welsh D shown in-hand.
We bought her as a two year old to allow to mature and then bring on. I previously owned her full sister who was the most simple, bold superstar! So we went back for Dessie. We never buy horses this young but we just liked her so much!!
Unfortunately things have not worked out. When breaking her in she began great. She lunges, she is mouthed, easy to tack up and she long reigns. HOWEVER, when trying to back her she became very unsettled and reared. We did have her back checked and then gave her another winter off but still had the same response.
We are quite baffled as she is great on the ground. We are not selling her as a ridden prospect due to the difficulties we have faced. We are looking for anyone who may be able to give her a chance in another field.
She is currently wasted with us as this is a family home with WHPs. She may suit someone looking to show in PBW in hand classes.
She is turned out with mares and geldings happily, good to handle, catch, load.
