Have just taken delivery of a jacket for my daughter (after measuring her!!) It doesnt go anywhere near her! Grrrr , now we have 2 jackets in the wardrobe that are of no use to us!! And to make matters worse , my daughter doesnt appear to be a standard size , I can feel another made to measure coming on....the last one was £215

I did all my growing by 14 and at 20, I still wear the jackets that we bought 6 years ago as I havent changed shape much since then.. I dont know how old your daughter is, but I grew a lot between 11 and 14 - 5ft2 to 5ft9 and havent grown since so maybe you are getting to the end of her growing spell! If you don't show much through the winter then don't get a jacket now - from experience it will not fit come next show season!

Unless the newest jacket has been altered to fit, why can't you send it back? As the above poster has said, unless you really need a jacket for a few shows this year, why not wait till next year, cos as sure as eggs is eggs, your daughter will have changed shape!

The Newer jacket is second hand! But will just try and sell it (was hoping it would be a stop gap before ordering one!) and yes will only get a jacket next season when our nov shp is ready to go to some parties! Kids eh!

I feel your pain! My daughter is 10 and shooting up... She's more or less as tall as me and has bigger hands and feet The hunting breeches she had last season don't go near her, although fortunately last season's jacket was generous so will do another season. And boots - I seem to be buying boots every couple of months. She has almost the biggest feet in her school - including all the other kids and most of the female staff!!! I am just thankful that she is a pin heat rather than a mushroom head like me. She's had her hat for 3 years and it still fits perfectly - 6 5/8

I feel your pain. My daughter (8 in july) is now in a size 5 shoe, same as me! I cant keep up with her in clothes, shoes, boots and hats! She now wears my riding hat! I've not a hope in hell of doing lead rein anymore, although I cant say I'm too sorry! We are going to do a few winter RC type shows and her jackets rapidly becoming a bum-freezer. I'm just going to go and get a cheap off the peg til next year if I cant find second hand for the few outings we'll do. My daughters not a standard size either

We find that making them sleep in short beds with sturdy head and foot boards can retard natural growth considerably .
