As title.. Best wormer for 4 month old weaned foal? Bought from the sales so no knowledge of mare being wormed when foal was suckling.

I kl be doing ours soon, and they ll either have equimax or eqvalan duo. Would never ever use equest pramox on any pony let alone a foal. Read product info you can find on them, all will have indications as to suitability to foals etc.

i woud use panacur 5 day to treat for roundworms. i do all my new arrival foals with panacur 5 day as i believe there is some resistance of roundworm to ivermectin so woudl try and avoid ivermectin based ones to start with.

There is mega resistance to the drug used in panacur, I will only use it in the 5 day for encysted redworm, not worth bothering for normal use, and would use ivermectin after a week or so.

Ivermectin. A foal of this age isn't going to have tapeworm or encysted larval stages. I agree with sarahp that there is more likely to be a resistance problem with Panacur (fenbendazole) than Ivermectin.
