I am just doing some research, and would like to know what leather items people would like to see available?
It can either be a new item, or an item which is already manufactured, but isn't easy to find.

Decent brown/havannah plaited pony reins that are fairly thick and don't cost the earth!

A very wide plaited noseband across the nose area, have a narrow one but would like a wide one.

Longer length leather lead reins with and without butterfly buckle ends. Also leather headcollars without clips on throat - I worry about them getting caught on haynets when travelling!

Dressage style bridles without flashes are impossible to buy!

Dressage style bridles without flashes are impossible to buy! Try Elevator Bridles, they do one without a flash, there is also one that has a flash but it's joining loop is completely hidden if not required.

XL full bridles that have thicker cheek pieces, head piece. That will not look out of place on an 18.1hh Irish Draught!

I have a friend called Laurel Benson, a very skilled and highly trained saddler, who has made me some of the most beautiful bridles and reins I've ever owned. She even once made me a Scawbrig which was just perfect and was at the time very hard to get hold of. Look her up on FaceBook, you would definitely not be disappointed with her work. You can have exactly what you want as everything is handmade to order, from choosing the piece of leather herself to each individual stitch. She has done everything from heavy horse harness to side saddle restoration and renovation and everything inbetween.
She would make you an XL bridle to your exact instructions, cjgreen76, look her up and if you have difficulty finding her please contact me via here as I have a number for her.

Anything English, am I only person who finds it sad that if you go into a feed merchants all you can get is foreign tack? They stock so much more than they used to, but less quality. Years ago there was probably only one or two styles of bridle on offer, maybe a plain and a raised version, but both would have been English. These days I don't think many people know the difference as all they are offered is cheap mass produced stuff that looks pretty. Also then if people go to saddlers items look expensive, but are good value for a handcrafted piece of tack that lasts a lifetime.

Anything small/fine - the fashion seems to be for great big chunky padded bridles with crank nosebands these days! I have a dainty arab who wears a small cob size bridle and I prefer a padded headpiece - but finding one with 1/2" cheeks that didn't cost the earth took some doing!
My other two are also dainty - PBA and Sec A, pony and small pony size bridles. The PBA would also no doubt appreciate a padded headpiece, but can't find anything dainty enough in my price range!
Agree finding anything without a flash noseband is also difficult!

No they are brilliant plenty of grip, I ride in the rain quite a lot and have no problems unlike some of my other reins which are slippy and then when older melting rubber reins, I am never buying any rubber reins ever again.

sevesstud they are just like normal rubber reins, leather at the bottom and top but where the rubber goes in the middle it is suede
