This may sound a strange question, but, I clipped my pony out a week before christmas and he has hardly grown any hair back since, I have tried not to over rug him (or under rug), does any one have any tips on how to make his hair grow any faster?

it does soud like hes too warm to grow any coat,i would put a lighter rug on, all of mine bar one clipped completly out end of november, they only have one clip and live out with plenty of feed and hay,are as fat as butter and have what is there summer coat no clip lines, the one that was clipped out and lived in wrapped in cotton wool needs to grow a bit more coat so ive put lighter rug on him and its doing the trick.

last year mine had heavy clip lines till march (last clip Nov) i avoid over rugging him and just has 1 medium rug on day and night now and summer coat coming nice, we may get a small amount of shedding some short hairs, but clip line slooking much less noticable !

he is only wearing a thin summer stable rug and a medium turnout with a neck over the top, still looks freshly clipped, has just got a few hairs coming through on his back.
