what do people think we have been offered a free pony but it comes with problems its 15 years old very low miles been in a field most of its life has been shown at local level and hunted in the past has a bad back due to bad fitting tack not been fed correctly doesn't like loading can nip good points its very trusting considering and my kids have been all over it in the stable and doesn't care it has good feet. At 15 years do people think don't bother or can he been rebacked/trained/schooled advise please it will be a resue project pony no hoys county pony

At 15 I'd give it a go if the actual pony is what you want and is well in itself. 15 isn't that old and the things you mention could all be sorted with a bit of input.

Agree with SarahP. However, with all those 'ifs' unless the pony is very suitable in all other ways, I wouldn't have it just because it is free. Sometimes you do need to look a 'gift horse' in the mouth!
