I have a rising 2yr old (March) he is standing a good 14.2 on wither and 14.3 on bum , what do you expect his mature height to be only looking for around 15/ 15.1 not a fan of bigger horses , should I be worried or does that sound on track sp/ tb breeding

Depends on the parentage....but you could try the string trick where you measure the length of the limbs, an old horsewoman did it on my 14.2 when I was worried she was going to grow overheight - she didn't ! so it obviously works!

my Vet told me if you measure from the point of elbow to the ground when 18 months , and the double it you will have your mature height, I never tried it myself but could be worth a try

Hi thank you for your reply's i've measured from egot to elbow bone then flipped looks around 15.2 so that will be nice for riding horse , hope he's not bigger.
