Can anybody help please? We have a Patterdale terrier bit*h puppy five months old who is very windy (if you know what I mean). Is there any puppy food that anybody can recommend to help with this problem! Many thanks.

Are you still giving milk to drink?

No she is not on any milk anymore, stopped it about 4 weeks ago. She loves cheese and has this occasionally.

Both of our Cocker spaniel pups had James Wellbeloved puppy food. Poppy was fed Eukanuba by her breeder but it made her very 'windy'. No wind issues since we moved to James Wellbeloved. They then moved onto the adult version and are doing well on it.

royal canin do breed specific food - its more expensive than some but many breeders use it.

is the skinners puppy food the field & trial one with chicken? if so, it may be worth trying a hypoallergenic one such as their puppy lamb and rice (if you look on their website it comes up under the 'all dogs' tab rather than 'field and trial'). I really rate skinners for being a good buy for quality v's price.
Alternatively, one of the other hypoallergenic foods are worth a try but can be pricey. Burns, James Wellbeloved etc do a good range of puppy foods. Another option is Chappie - the meat content isn't as good as the above foods but it is renowned for being plain and easy to digest.
I presume she's having no wet food which could contribute to the problem?

Thank you sjw87. No she is on no wet food at all, apart from what she pinches from the foals buckets! She does like the Coolstance though. Will try the other skinners puppy food. Thanks for your suggestions. ?

I would try Eden food - It is the best food I have ever used for puppies! I breed a little, and have done for many many years, just as a hobby. I always have a waiting list, and all my new owners have remarked on how well the puppies have done on the food since I started using it. They deliver to the door, and you can order on line. Not the cheapest but all dogs are worth the extra, especially in their growing months / years. The amount or 'natural' products in a lot of the makes of dog and puppy food, is not altogether natural to a dog!! Do google Eden dog food, and see just how natural it is, and give it a try - I am sure you won't be disappointed - it is so good for every aspect of temperament, growth and development.
