ive had a bad experience with my 4 yr old gelding when i got him as a 6 month old foal due to being told the wrong feed to feed him which i nearly lost him we are now getting another 6 month old cob filly foal and im worried on what to feed her as i dont want the same thing to happen again what food would u sugest for her please she will be stabled for a few days until settled with plenty of hay and then im hoping to put her out throught the day and in at night until summer comes there will be hay in the field as well any help would be welcomed as ive read different things to feed on the web would which ones would be right for her

you need to ask what she is being fed at the moment, then alter it gradually.
Good quality hay or hayledge and add-lib clean water
I used to feed my babies a stud mix, at her age now I added sugar beet and some boled barley with some chaff, however it does depend on the pony, I added chaff to stop them bolting, if however they were picky I would just give plain stud mix so it would not go off and they could come and pick at it whenever they felt like it.

First two lines agreed. But I prefer nowadays to avoid starch and sugar so cereal and molasses even in foals, especially for natives, so mine are on a good stud balancer with variable amounts of soaked alfabeet and micronised linseed, avoiding mixes. I would feed alfalfa/oil chaff but have yet to find a foal who eats it well.
