Hi guys,
Just wanted to know who are the best traditional cob stallions in the country, must do AI as I am in Ireland. Also must be graded, preferably over 14.2hh.
At the research stage here, as I am still unsure about movement from these stallions but have always fancied breeding one. Or buying, time will tell.
If anyone has used one on a non trad mare I would to hear from you.

I used The Scoundrel, on a bay Connemara mare and am really pleased with the result. All his offspring seem well marked, professional but still over techie stud where the visiting mares live out and he teases his own mares over the fence. The foal is now three and still growing, has not made as big as I hoped but he still has a bit of growing to do and it was the mares first foal. The main thing is his temperament is amazing and he moves really well, with plenty of bone.

Go onto the TGCA website - they grade the traditional stallions. Andrea Betteridge will also advice for free.....
