If you want to compete for RIHS classes you will have to join the SHB. If you want to compete for HOYS classes you will have to join the BSHA
A total rip off.!

If you want to compete for RIHS classes you will have to join the SHB. If you want to compete for HOYS classes you will have to join the BSHA A total rip off.! The above would be for the sm hunter and weight classes. Bsps is the society you need and you could continue into Intermediate show hunter classes with him till you are 25

Bit behind answering to this post with The Showing Register you can take part in HOYS qualifying classes at any show in the Pony,WHP, MM ,Intermediate and all the mini classes. Its £20 for an owner , rider and pony. Extra ponies £5 extra junior riders £5. Www.theshowingregister.co.uk. We also have regional finals and a huge clinic series which can lead to riding at HOYS in the Masterclass.

If you check the HOYS rule book which can be found in the Competitor Zone it lists all the class specific rules including which society you can be a member of.
For HOYS Pony qualifiers you can be a member of ANY of the relevant societies. So for plaited SHP and WHP classes that would be NPS, TSR, BSPS or PUK. If you have an M&M then you can also be a member of the relevant breed society (eg if you have a Fell pony you can be a member of FPS)
This allows competitors the freedom of choice to decide which society suits their needs the best.
