Hi, just looking to see if any one has any suggestions! I have a pony that isn't keen on other ponies coming towards him, ie- standing in line with ponies changing rein, and hectic collecting rings! He tends to spook to the side or spin! We have started to hack him out and he's fine walking along side and being 'cushioned' in on narrow tracks etc. Thanks

Do you have a local riding school that you can go and join in with a group lesson? Go to pony club, anything that will help to socialize him to other ponies and working with them. Also do some inhand classes so you can be at his head to reassure him .

My girl was like this as a novice. My friend ran a riding school so I used to go and join in the young kids having a lesson more for my ponies benefit as they tended to stick to trot. This really helped her confidence.

WE practise at home with a few in the arena , then build it up to more and all go in different directions ,it will help your pony to accept that nothing is going to happen to them and they will in time get on with it!
