I've been told the ray, davina and ideal ramsay are all on the same tree. I thought the ray was for much wider ponies as was the Davina?

I've no idea but they get recommended for different shapes of horses. I have heard people on here say ALL Fyldes are on the same tree which is laughable. Mind you I'm all for a decent flocked panel for comfort so don't ask me lol

Im sure i heard the Marjorie and ramsay are on the same tree, but never heard about ray and davine. The ray is far too much of a saddle for my C, But my samantha fits great and peter recommended me a davina as he said quite similar but davina has but more support for working hunter.

There are much better saddles out there than Flyde, all priced about the same too

Robrocks, have you checked whether any of these saddles actually fit your pony (assuming you are looking to buy one), as danichapel says, there are far better, flocked saddles available that will provide comfort for you & more importantly, your pony!

Yes I actually bought all three just to check! two of my ponies are in made to measure silhouettes but I can't afford another made to measure so am currently researching other possibilities but as started in my op,I am confused that the fylde saddles mentioned are all on the same tree(ideal gave me a different story) so not feeling inspired to buy one. I have had a master saddler out to my pony(100 as in the middle of no where) and I am confident about what he needs.

Fylde saddles are very very close contact, most other brands fit with a more forgiving flocked panel. If you wanted to send me photos I'd be happy to advise which NP saddles might fit so you could find one second hand.

Is there a particular reason why you have opted for Fylde over any other make?

Is there a particular reason why you have opted for Fylde over any other make? I haven't opted for fylde, just exploring options in the £500 region and fylde Used tend to be that. I do like AH ones, but used , they seem to be around 700.
